E-Learning at TropSoc.org

Welcome to the E-Learning archive. Here you can view and submit presentations (powerpower, keynote etc.) on the pathology, epidemiology, treatment and prevention of tropical disease and other areas of tropical medicine.

In order to view a presentation, navigate to your chosen category below or search for the area you are interested in and use our embedded presentation players to view the document.

This archive is open to the public and anyone can submit their own presentations to be displayed here. Teaching is an important part of any clinician or researchers career and we welcome all submissions, including from medical and science students. In return for each successful submission we provide a printable certificate from TropSoc confirming your contribution to our archive.

In order to submit a presentation it must first meet a few of our criteria:

  • All presentations must fit into one of our learning categories, these include; public health & epidemiology, pathology, treatment & prevention and medical & humanitarian organisations. All presentations must concern primarily tropical diseases, diseases most prevalent in the tropics (eg. HIV/AIDS) or social/political issues affecting health care in the tropical world
  • All presentations must be sourced throughout with all references included in a slide at the end. Sources should be credible eg. from journals, textbooks etc. Wikipedia is not a suitable source, however articles sourced in wikipedia pages may be.
  • Your presentation must not plagiarise or use copyrighted images without permission.
  • All presentations are screened by TropSoc for their validity and accuracy.
It is important to note that whilst we do screen submitted presentations, the TropSoc E-Learning Archive is not a peer reviewed source and TropSoc takes no responsibility for the inclusion of copyrighted material in submitted work.
