The Peninsula Society of Tropical Medicine (PSTM) is the founding society of TropSoc. Now a branch of TropSoc, or The Student Societies of Tropical Medicine, the PSTM aims to give students a leg up into understanding the world of tropical infectious disease through lectures, events and microteaches at Peninsula Medical School.

Welcome to the brand new homepage of the Peninsula Society of Tropical Medicine (PSTM). The PSTM is now a branch of TropSoc, the Student Societies of Tropical Medicine, formed when we set up our first society outside of PCMD at Hull York Medical School. From the main site at www.tropsoc.org you can view national news, info and events as well as view and submit presentations to our new e-learning database.
Here on the branch page you can view local news, see up-coming talks and get in touch with the PSTM staff.
The Peninsula Society of Tropical Medicine aims to give students a leg up into understanding the world of tropical infectious disease, the impact they have on poor countries and the challenges facing the developing world in managing health care. Whether you are interested in specialising in Infectious Disease (ID), Tropical Medicine (TM) or working in the tropics during your career (eg. MSF, Red Cross, Médecins du Monde), the PSTM will help prepare you.
